What they said… co-head coach Mark Cook
About the vault rotation…
“We have struggled a bit on vault this year,” co-head coach Mark Cook said. “We came out tonight and really had a lot of good landings and we stuck all of our vaults, I really thought we were going to break the record for sure. It was great to see us perform on that event the way have been training.”

About the meet…
“Bars surprised me tonight,” Cook said. “They get up on the event and changed their skills a little bit tonight and then they made a few errors and really gave the meet away tonight. We can’t give a win away like that, but we did fight back really hard and did really well on the beam and finished hard on the floor.”

About Grable’s performance…
“Katherine is on fire right now,” Cook said. “She could have scored some 10.0’s tonight on a few of her routines. I thought her vault was just spectacular tonight and she really is one of the top gymnasts in the country right now.”

About the team’s performance…
“Our performance tonight especially on bars wasn’t up to par,” Grable said. “We will have a lot of things to work on in the gym this week during practice. Once we get everything straightened out, I know we will be on our way to much better scores.”

What they said… Senior Scarlett Williams
About her vault…
“It felt great to stick my vault tonight,” Williams said. “This is something that I do every day in the gym during practice and it felt really good to hit my vault in competition.
