There are over 100 types of Arthritis that impact people all of ages.
At the age of 26, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I can
vividly remember that day in the doctor's office. I wasn't exactly sure
what it meant, but I knew by my mom's reaction that it was going to be a
tough fight. There is no current cure for RA and if not treated
properly, can lead to long term problems. As a former professional
athlete, I realized this was going to be the hardest competition that I
have ever faced. There is not a day that goes by that I don't have pain
or feel the impacts of this disease on my body.
One of my
passions in life is giving back and helping others. I felt there was no
better way than to get involved in the Arthritis Foundation here in our
community of NW Arkansas.
This holiday season, Adam, Team
Taylor, and my golf team will tie jingle bells to our shoelaces and
participate in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk® for Arthritis, a 5K fun
run/walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. This is a benefit that is
near and dear to us and we would love for you to get involved in our
fundraising efforts. If you donate $50 or more, you will receive your
own Team Taylor's Fight for RA t-shirt designed by none other than my
wonderful husband Adam. We would also like to encourage you to come out
and run/walk with us on December 2, 2012.
Thanks for considering to be apart of this fight with myself, Adam, and our families. We appreciate your support!
