CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Arkansas junior Emily Tubert fired a 69 moving into a tie for sixth place after second round action of the 112th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in Cleveland, Ohio, Tuesday.
The Burbank, Calif., native shot 72-69=141 and is five strokes off the lead moving into match play.
Razorback teammate Gabriela Lopez is in the clubhouse with a 150 with rounds of 76-74 and is tied for 66thoverall just under the cut.
Tubert fired an even par 72 in the first round while her round of 69 was the second lowest total posted on Tuesday.
Play continues through the weekend.
