AS A SOPHOMORE (2008-09): Erica Totten finished her second season with the Razorbacks with nine top five finishes, including a win in the 200 butterfly against Kansas. At the Austin Grand Prix, Totten set Filipino records in the 400 free, 200 IM and 400 IM events, all swam long course. She also holds Filipino records in the 200-meter free and 200-meter fly. During the season, Totten also set personal best times in the 200 free and 500 free events. Once again academically strong, Totten was named to the Razorback and Southeastern Conference honor rolls.
AS A FRESHMAN (2007-08): Totten had a strong debut with the Razorbacks in 2007-08, setting a new personal best time in the 200 fly at 2:00.51, good enough for second place in the Arkansas record books. She set another personal best in the 200 free with her time of 1:49.91. Academically, Totten was named to the 2008 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll, the Academic Champions list in the fall of 2007 and the Razorbacks Athletic Department Honor Roll.
AT THE BOLLES SCHOOL: Totten came from The Bolles School, where she swam under Coach Poppell and helped the Bulldogs to the state championships her junior and senior years. As a junior, Totten was the Florida state high school 1A state champion in the 200 individual medley and a member of the 200 medley relay team that took top honors. She competed in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, the 2006 FINA World Cup, the 2006 Asian Games and was a member of the Philippine National Swim Team. Totten participated in Junior and Spring Nationals. The Miami, Fla., native was also named to the CollegeSwimming.com Top 100 Recruits list.
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 1, 1988, Erica Cirila Totten is the daughter of Gregory and Yolanda Totten of Jacksonville, Fla. She has an older sister, Jessica, and a younger brother, Charles.
