OUTLOOK: With two of Arkansas’ starting linebackers gone from last season, Fenton will compete for playing time both on defense and on special teams. He ended the spring listed third at the weak side spot behind senior Elston Forte and sophomore Ryan Powers. Fenton had a tackle in the Red-White Spring Game along with an interception and two-yard return of a Casey Dick pass. He had two tackles in the first major scrimmage and one stop in the second scrimmage.

2007: He practiced with the scout team.

2006: He redshirted in his first season while also working out with the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: A defensive end in high school, he earned all-district and all-county honors for Coach Scott Smith at Plano. He had 105 tackles with nine sacks, one interception and 32 quarterback pressures. Plano was 13-1 his senior year and won the area championship. He also lettered in track and lacrosse. He graduated in the top 25 percent of his class.

PERSONAL: Born March 8, 1988, he is the son of Thad and Pat Fenton. He is majoring in marketing management. He was named to the SEC’s Fall 2007 Academic Honor Roll. He was also named to Arkansas’ Lon Farrell Academic Honor Roll for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 academic years.
