OUTLOOK: Nathan Dick redshirted last season and goes into fall camp as the second-team quarterback behind older brother Casey. He received considerable work during the spring and made significant strides, especially with his footwork. In the Red-White Game on April 26, he was two-of-four for 50 yards, but he was sacked twice for nine yards. In the first major scrimmage of the spring, he was seven-of-13 for 68 yards with an interception and a 20-yard touchdown to Carlton Salters. He also had six carries for six yards with a four-yard touchdown. In the second scrimmage, he was nine-of-16 for 123 yards with an eight-yard TD to Crosby Tuck and no interceptions along with six rushes for three yards. His combined passing totals were 18-of-33 (.545) for 241 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

2007: He redshirted while working with the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: As a senior, he completed 261-of-402 passes for 3,622 yards and 23 touchdowns for Coach Tom Westerberg at Allen. He had just three interceptions in 402 attempts, and did not throw an interception in the first 12 games of the season as his team finished 11-2. He also ran for 577 yards and 11 touchdowns on 144 carries. He played three games in Texas Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, during his senior year. He threw for 464 yards and led his team from a 26-0 deficit to a 48-47 win over Rockwall High. Rivals listed him as the No. 33 pro-style quarterback in the nation and one of the top 100 prospects in Texas. The Dallas Morning News rated him the No. 1 quarterback in the metro area and the No. 40 overall player. Scout listed him as the No. 62 quarterback in the country. He chose Arkansas over Rice, Tulsa, North Texas, Houston and Louisville.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 26, 1988, he is the son of Steve and Mary Ellen Dick. His older brother Casey is an Arkansas teammate and also plays quarterback for the Razorbacks. He is majoring in kinesiology. He was named to the SEC’s Freshman Academic Honor Roll and to Arkansas’ Lon Farrell Academic Honor Roll for the 2007-08 academic year.
