OUTLOOK: Youngblood entered spring practice as the third-team quarterback behind Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson, and that’s where he is entering fall camp. He split time with Wilson on the White team in the Red-White Spring Game, and was 4-of-7 for 40 yards with an interception. He also had three carries for one yard. His touchdown was a 20-yarder to Greg Childs. In the April 10 scrimmage, he was 7-of-16 for 122 yards. In the April 4 scrimmage, he was 5-of-10 for 58 yards with a 17-yard touchdown to Austin Tucker. On March 28, he was 4-of-10 for 43 yards with a 19-yard score to Andrew Norman. In four scrimmages and the spring game, he was a combined 21-of-46 for 278 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.

2008: He redshirted last season and practiced with the scout team. UA’s conditioning program helped him improve from 210 pounds to 225.

HIGH SCHOOL: He amassed 5,562 passing yards, 43 touchdowns and more than 1,600 yards rushing in his high school career. He continued to be a dual threat as a thrower and rusher during his senior season for Coach Buck James. He threw for 2,533 yards and 18 touchdowns and ran for 643 yards and 16 scores in leading his squad to the state semifinals. His squad fell to Greenwood and fellow Razorback quarterback Tyler Wilson. He was a 2007 all-state selection. As a junior, he passed for 2,022 yards and 18 touchdowns. He added 820 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. He earned all-state and all-conference honors. He was ranked as the No. 17 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 7 overall recruit in the state of Arkansas. He was ranked No. 4 in the Hawgs Illustrated rankings. He was rated as the No. 29 quarterback in the nation and the No. 6 overall prospect in the state by Scout. He was also recruited by Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 4, 1989, he is the son of Stan and Jo Lynne Youngblood. He is enrolled in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
