Freshman Mallory Machnik comments on the meet at Auburn.

We are back from our third meet with another victory. We were up against Auburn, and it was a close meet!We started off Friday morning with our usual team activity. I have to say this was probably the most exciting one so far. As Rachel demonstrated her ‘diva attitude’ on our catwalk, it just made us even more ready for that night. Rose, of course, added her own little touch with her pink wig and a feather boa. After our fun, it ws back to the hotel to focus on our competition. We started off on bars. While we had one fall, we still had enough confidence to finish strong. It was then off to vault. We were hitting every vault, one after another. We headed to floor next. We had so much fun showing off our ‘diva attitudes’, winking, clapping, and dancing with everyone’s routines. We, again, ended on beam. We had rock solid performances, everyone hit their routines.Now the meet was over, and all we could do was wait for the scores to be tallied. As they announced the winner, we huddle together and enjoyed the moment. We could not have been more excited and proud of our performance.

We are now 3-0, with all three wins coming on the road. We are so excited for our first home meet this weekend. So come watch us this Friday at 7:00 pm at Barnhilll to take on the Georgia GymDawgs!
