FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — University of Arkansas students who have an Access Pass for the 2011-12 season may use those passes to purchase a guest pass for men’s basketball games over the holiday break it was announced by the Athletic Department on Thursday. University students without an Access Pass may also buy tickets for the holiday break for a discounted rate. The men’s basketball team plays six games over the holiday break for students including contests against Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 17), Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 20), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 22), Charlotte (Dec. 28), Texas Southern (Dec. 30) and Savannah State (Jan. 3). Students with an Access Pass who wish to take advantage of the offer may do so at the East Entrance to Bud Walton Arena on the day of the game. Guest tickets sell for $5 and guests do not have to be University students to gain admission. Once a student is verified to be an Access Pass holder at the East Entrance, they may then purchase a guest ticket. All guests must be present for a ticket to be purchased. Non Access Pass holders with a valid University student ID will also be given the opportunity to buy a single ticket for $5. The Razorbacks are 5-2 on the year and are undefeated at Bud Walton Arena. Arkansas is coming off a tough loss on the road against the defending national champion and ninth-ranked Connecticut Huskies, but did see bright spots in the loss including a 28-point outburst by freshman BJ Young and a 16-rebound effort by fellow first-year player Devonta Abron.
