Mission Statement
The University of Arkansas Sports Medicine staff is committed to provide each razorback student-athlete with state-of-the-art medical care. The goal of our sports medicine program is to assist every athlete in staying healthy and injury free. The athletic training staff, in conjunction with our team physicians, will coordinate the delivery of professional and comprehensive preventative, treatment, rehabilitation, and counseling services.

Physicians
Primary Care: MANA is an independent association of healthcare providers- Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic, FirstCare Family Doctors, MediServe Walk-in Clinic, NWA Pediatric Clinic, The Breast Center, and Renaissance Women’s Healthcare Partners- with a common vision of quality health care. Specifically, the following physicians serve as primary care physicians for the Athletic Department.

Orthopedic Care: The AOS provides orthopedic services for the Arkansas Razorback Athletic Department. They specialize in general orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, trauma, fracture surgery, surgery of the hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopy , and total joint reconstruction. Specifically, the following orthopedic surgeons serve as orthopedic care physicians for the Athletic Department.

Every year you will be required to attend a physical in order to compete.

Welcome to the Athletic Department
Below you will find several documents that you need to print and bring with you to your physical examination. You will need all of these documents filled out prior to receiving a physical exam. You will also need to bring a front and back copy of your insurance cards. If you are under the age of 18 you will need a parent's signature.

Information for Walk-Ons
In order to Try-out for an athletic team you will need the following information completed prior to the try-out date.
* Tryout Cover Page
* Tryout Medical Clearance Form
* Physical Examination signed and dated by a Medical Physician within the last six months and must include a sickle cell test result with the blood work.
* Proof of Insurance
Visitor's Guide
To all incoming athletic teams we welcome you and will provide you with the following basic equipment:
* Hydrocollator and Pads
* Ice and Bags
* AED with Oxygen
* Splint Bag
* Crutches
* Stim Machine
* First Aid Supplies
If you require other equipment or accommodations please contact the sports' athletic trainer prior to your arrival.
Application for Graduate Assistants
Our Graduate Assistants are a critical part of our athletic training staff. In order to apply, you must be BOC certified and accepted to a graduate program in the University of Arkansas' Graduate School.
We are looking for hardworking individuals to add to our program. Positions will be posted on the NATA website when available.
