2013: Beasley has quickly turned into the Arkansas ace in the latter part of the season. She has earned complete game victories over No. 13 LSU, No. 8 Missouri (11 innings) and No. 2 Tennessee. She notched a career-high 12 strikeouts in the games vs. LSU and Missouri on April 6 and 13, respectively. She also threw a no-hitter at Savannah State on March 20. Beasley has recorded 157strikeouts in 114 innings pitched this season. She is on pace to set the UA record for most strikeouts per seven innings. Beasley is 10-8 this year in 25 appearances, she has tallied a 2.76 ERA.
2012: Beasley had an outstanding freshman season in the circle for the Razorbacks. The left-handed pitcher was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the week two weeks during the season. She was also named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. Beasley had an overall record of 11-10 with an ERA of 3.54 and victories over No.1 California, then-No. 7 Baylor, No. 3 Alabama, No. 11 Georgia and Kentucky. Beasley racked up 99 strikeouts while only allowing 42 walks. She appeared in 33 games while making 21 starts. Beasley held strong for 4.2 innings in the victory over the number one team in the nation, California, in the Berkeley Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named Gatorade’s Arkansas Softball Player of the Year in 2011, Kimmy Beasley helped Foreman High School to four state championships in her career, making pitching appearances in three title games. As a senior, she posted a 32-2 record with a 0.15 ERA, striking out 393 batters in 236 innings pitched. She was named an All-American by ESPN RISE for her efforts. Beasley, a left-handed standout, recorded seven no-hitters in 2011, including four perfect games, and a state-record 22 shutouts. She received Class 2A All-State honors and was a West team member in the 2011 Arkansas All-Star game. Coached by her father Mitchell Beasley, she finished her high school career ranked No. 1 all-time in strikeouts with 1,122. She has collected all-region honors each of her four seasons and received all-district and all-state accolades as a sophomore, junior and senior. Beasley also received all-state honors in basketball as a junior and senior.
PERSONAL: Born March 21, 1993, she is the daughter of Mitchell and Toni Beasley. She has two sisters, Christian and Leann, and a brother, Wade. Beasley is majoring in kinesiology.
