FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team continued its week of practice Wednesday afternoon inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Paul Haynes met with the media following practice and said he expects a lot of the same things during this Friday’s scrimmage that he saw last week.

“I expect a lot of effort,” Coach Haynes said. “We need to eliminate the mental mistakes that we made before. We really want to get better every day, that’s the main thing. We don’t want to make the same mistakes that we made before and keep improving. We’re still installing and there’s still some learning to go.”

Coach Haynes went on to talk about how the spring practices have helped players not only get work in at multiple positions, but also for new players to get in the reps they need.

“That’s what the spring is all about,” Coach Haynes said. “We want to move guys around. There’s really no ones or twos, they’re just all in one group. We’re going to continue to work guys around. You are going to see a bunch of guys playing with the ones and a bunch of guys playing with the twos. Coming out of the spring, hopefully, we can figure out what they do best and put them in those spots.”

Arkansas continues practice Friday, April 6, which will be open to the public. Practice on April 13 will also be open to the public leading up to the Red-White Spring Game, sponsored by Cox Advanced TV, on April 21 at 2 p.m. If practice is held inside Walker Pavilion, it will not be open to the public due to space constraints. The practice schedule is subject to change. Please check with ArkansasRazorbacks.com for updates.
