Achieving Academic Goals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the 14th consecutive semester, University of Arkansas student-athletes combined to record a department GPA above a 3.0 by earning a 3.23 cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the fall semester.

A total of 27 Razorback student-athletes also will graduate in December.

“Congratulations to our more than 460 Razorback student-athletes on another outstanding semester in the classroom,” Arkansas Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “The hard work and academic achievement of the young men and women in our program is phenomenal. Not long ago, our program goal was to exceed 3.0 and now we have recorded a fifth consecutive semester of 3.2 or better. It all leads to the ultimate goal of the student-athlete experience, a college degree. Beginning later the month, Razorback fans will watch more than 30 student-athletes compete for the University of Arkansas with their SEC graduate patch. That is a tremendous statement about them as individuals, our program and our university.”
