Anderson honored at TCU

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — University of Arkansas freshman volleyball player Amanda Anderson earned all-tournament team honors at the TCU Invitational this weekend.

Anderson, a middle blocker from Euless, Texas, paced Arkansas to a 1-2 weekend. Anderson hit a team-best .436 with 30 kills, 2.73 kills-per-set and had a team-best 12 blocks in the three matches.

“Amanda had a great weekend,” said Arkansas head coach Robert Pulliza. “She is deserving of this honor but it’s important to remember that individual awards are a reflection of team effort. This is as much a team award recognizing good play from a number of people.”

Arkansas returns to the court Tuesday with its home opener against Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m. in Barnhill Arena. For more information about Arkansas volleyball or for ticket information log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
