University of Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson met with the media on Thursday to preview the Razorbacks’ Saturday night Southeastern Conference opener against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Razorbacks have won six straight games as they prepare for Mississippi State who enters the contest ranked No. 15 in the Associated Press and No. 16 in the USA Today/Coaches polls.
Anderson talked about how he felt that Mississippi State was one of the more talented teams in teh SEC this year due to their size, athletic ability and personnel. He also discussed how Arkansas would need to maximize its effort. He then answered questions from the media about the Bulldogs size inside, his team’s progression since the Oklahoma game (Arkansas’ last loss), the state of the SEC, the potential tempo of Saturday’s contest and how rebounding will factor into the game.
The Razorbacks and Bulldogs meet at 8 p.m. central on Saturday, Jan. 7.
