Andrew Dahl Captures Gold as Hogs Tie for Firs
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Andrew Dahl improved his score by three strokes, shooting a 69 third round to drop him to 11-under par and move him atop the leader board as he captured the individual tournament title at the Border Olympics held at the Laredo Country Club.

The win marked his second tournament victory for the year and he now finds himself shooting nine under par for the season. His low scores enabled him to drop his average to 71.4.

The team’s overall performance was strong as they were able to stay on top throughout the third round. Unfortunately, for head coach Mike Ketcham’s golfers, Texas A&M shaved some strokes off of its game too. At the end of the third round, the Aggies were tied with the Hogs and went to a playoff. Only after four holes of a sudden death playoff did A&M win by one stroke.

The third round found the Razorbacks shooting their worst of the tournament, a combined 294. Dahl was the only Razorback that moved up, shooting a three-under-par 69 on the day. In the third round, junior Adam Wing shot a 75 and slipped six places, finishing ten strokes behind Dahl at one-under.

Junior Seth Murphy shot a 75 to finish at three over par and tied for 28th. Freshman Darren Holder was the third Hog to shoot a 75 and he finished in tie for 38th at four over. Rounding out the Razorback linksters was senior Nick Beach who shot a third round 79 to finish in 97th at 22 over par for the tournament.

Dahl captured his second tournament title this year and after 18 rounds of golf, finds himself shooting nine under par for the season. His low scores enabled him to drop his average to 71.4.

The Razorback golfers will next head to Auburn, Ala., for the Billy Hitchcock Invitational April 10-13
