FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After helping propel the Razorbacks to their second tournament victory of the season at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas on April 5, junior Andrew Dahl earned his second Southeastern Conference Golfer of the Week honor in less than a month, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Dahl, a native of Salinas, Calif., captured his second tournament victory of the season, carding an 11-under-par 205 (65-71-69) to win the Border Olympics at the Laredo Country Club. His first round score of 65 was also a career-best and his performance marked his sixth top 10 tournament finish of the season.
In the Golfweek/Sagarin Men’s Individual Rankings Dahl is the highest ranked Razorback at No. 26, and is fourth among nationally ranked SEC golfers.
Dahl had previously been awarded the SEC Golfer of the Week honor on March 19, after helping lead Arkansas to their first tournament victory in five years at the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on March 11. He came in second with a two-under-par 214 (72-72-70).
Dahl and the rest of the Hogs will compete at the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate on April 10-13, in Auburn, Ala., before they take a week off to prepare for the SEC Championships on April 24-27, in Sea Island, Ga.
