Arkansas Adds National TV Games To Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s basketball team has 24 nationally televised games to date as four non-conference home contests have been added to the broadcast schedule for the 2016-17 season.
Arkansas and Stephen F. Austin will go head-to-head for the fifth time in program history on Thursday, Dec. 1 with an 8 p.m. tip-off on SEC Network.
The Lumberjacks recorded the fourth-most wins in school history last year with a 28-6 mark and defeated No. 3 seed West Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. SFA ran the table in the Southland Conference with an 18-0 record and captured the Southland Tournament title to make its third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Razorbacks renew an old Southwest Conference rivalry with Houston on Tuesday, Dec. 6 in Bud Walton Arena with a 6 p.m. start time on SEC Network. The Cougars finished third in the American Athletic Conference last season with a 22-10 mark and return two of the top 12 scorers in the league.
North Florida makes its way to Fayetteville for the second straight year on Saturday, Dec. 10 for a 4:30 p.m. tip-off on SEC Network. The Ospreys are the defending Atlantic Sun Conference regular season champions and return their second leading scorer.
Arkansas will face North Dakota State for the first time in program history on Tuesday, Dec. 20 with a 6 p.m. tip-off on SEC Network. The Bison recorded its third straight 20-win season last year.
Arkansas will also play on ESPNU twice in non-conference action, battling Texas on Dec. 17 at the Toyota Center in Houston, and taking on Oklahoma State on Jan. 28, 2017 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
Arkansas returns the top 3-point shooter in the Southeastern Conference, as Dusty Hannahs sank 81 treys last year and had a .433 field goal percentage from long range, the fourth highest among high-major returning players.
The top returning rebounder in the SEC is back in Bud Walton Arena as Moses Kingsley removed his name from the 2016 NBA Draft with high aspirations for his senior campaign. Kingsley finished the regular season last year as one of five high-major players averaging at least 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
