FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the first time ever, Startup Junkie is partnering with Arkansas Athletics to bring an event to Razorback Stadium on Saturday, September 15. For a chance to win $1,000, contestants will pitch their idea for a business, product, service, or solution on the new deck in the north end zone at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The event begins at 11 a.m., and the $25 registration for contestants and audience includes a ticket to the Arkansas Razorbacks vs. North Texas Football Game to be played later that afternoon.
The IdeaFame Live contest, a 60-Second Elevator Pitch Contest hosted across the state of Arkansas, promotes startups, new ideas, and entrepreneurship. Prizes of $1,000 are awarded for both the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice winners. Official contest rules and registration can be found here.
“We’re thrilled to host this community enriching program at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The entrepreneurial community of Northwest Arkansas continues to grow at rapid pace and aligning with their best and brightest is a huge opportunity for the Arkansas Department of Athletics” said Chris Freet, a Senior Associate Athletic Director for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Jeff Amerine, Founding Principal of Startup Junkie said “We’ve seen significant growth in entrepreneurship in NWA over the past decade, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Razorbacks on this grand stage to highlight the intersection between athletics and entrepreneurship. Go Hogs!”
