Arkansas Back In Action At Bearcat Invitational

Live Scoring

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Fresh off a convincing team win in Minnesota, the Arkansas men’s golf team is back in action on Monday, participating in the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.

The Razorbacks are set to make their first appearance in program history at the Bearcat Invitational, an event that features 12 teams, including three nationally ranked squads. Arkansas is going for back-to-back wins for the first time since winning its first two events of the 2011-12 season.

The 54-hole event will be played at Coldstream Country Club, one of Cincinnati’s premier private clubs that has hosted numerous Ohio amateur and open championships, as well as USGA qualifiers. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Sept. 25, before coming back for 18 holes on Tuesday, sept. 26. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com or via the Golfstat Live app.

Arkansas is eyeing multiple wins in a season for the second straight year and the sixth time in the last eight seasons as it takes on a field that includes No. 5 Illinois, a program that has qualified for 10 consecutive NCAA National Championships.

The Razorbacks will start a familiar lineup that features senior Alvaro Ortiz at the top after consecutive top 10 finishes to open the season. Sophomore Mason Overstreet is coming off a runner-up performance at the Gopher Invitational and is looking to continue his strong play, finishing a combined 18-under par in his last three collegiate events.
