FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas baseball team looks to continue their strong start to the 2003 season when they take to the field Friday for first of a three-game series against Eastern Illinois.
The Razorbacks are 1-0 under new head coach Dave Van Horn after defeating Creighton 9-5 in the season opener on Tuesday. The Razorbacks will look to extend their series lead over Eastern Illinois (0-0). Arkansas leads the series with a record of 13-1. The Razorbacks have won seven straight games against Eastern Illinois dating back to 1988.
Sophomore left-handed pitcher Clint Brannon (0-0) is the scheduled starter for Arkansas and right-handed hurler Damon White (0-0) is set to start for the Panthers in Friday’s game. The game marks just the second career start for Brannon who was 1-1 last year.
