Arkansas Continues Action At FGCU Collegiate Open

Bonita Springs, Fla. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team continued play at the Florida Gulf Coast Collegiate Open Saturday in team play against the Memphis Tigers.

The tournament, which is team based, saw the Razorbacks split action against Memphis with Kentucky. Arkansas will be paired up with the Wildcats throughout the weekend. On Sunday, the final day of play in Bonita Springs, the Hogs will face off against Louisville and Illinois.

The Razorbacks, who once again split with the Kentucky Wildcats, went unscathed in doubles action, while splitting their four singles matchups against the Memphis Tigers. Adam Sanjurjo and Enrique Paya picked up their first doubles victory as a pair Saturday, blanking the duo of Oscar Cutting/Matt Story, 6-0, while  Jose and Pedro Alonso are 2-0 on the weekend after beating David Stevenson/Turner Voges, 6-3.

After an undefeated first day in singles play, Arkansas split it’s four matchups on Saturday. Adam Sanjurjo and Jose Alonso picked up wins against Patrick Sydow and Oscar Cutting, respectively.
