Arkansas Finishes 14th at Louisiana Golf Class

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After completing the final round at the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La., Arkansas finished 14th with a team score of 900. Yesterday they shot 302 in the first round and 298 in the second round. Today in the final round they shot 300.
Southern Methodist University won the classic after they shot rounds of 291, 282 and 291 for a combined score of 864. Tulsa and Baylor tied for second with a final score of 873, while Texas-San Antonio was close behind with 875.
Sophomore Andrew Dahl was the Razorbacks’ top finisher with a final score of 223. Dahl shot 75 in the first round and 74 in the second and third rounds. He finished 34th overall and set a new season best mark for himself.
Sophomore Adam Wing shot 75 in the first round, 72 in the second round and 77 in the final round. He finished 40th overall with a score of 224. Wing’s score of 224 tied his season best from the Taylor Made Tournament.
Sophomore Chad Faucett shot rounds of 78, 76 and 75. He finished with a score of 229. Junior Drew Higginbothom shot 74 in the first round, 76 in the second round and 80 in the final round. He finished with 230. Sophomore Seth Murphy also finished with a score of 230. Murphy shot rounds of 80, 76 and 74.
The Razorbacks will have three weeks off before they travel to Laredo, Texas on April 4-6 for the Border Olympics. They will then begin to prepare for the SEC Championships on April 18-21 at St. Simons Island, Ga.
