Arkansas Golf to Compete at Stonebridge Invita

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Less than a week after coming off a second-place performance at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate on October 13-15, in Tampa, Fla., the Arkansas golf team will head to the greens once again on October 20-22 at the SMU-Stonebridge Intercollegiate in McKinney, Texas.
“Obviously, we’re excited to get back into it again after coming off what we feel like was our best performance of the year,” Arkansas head coach Mike Ketcham said. “Down in Dallas it is a great golf course. A lot of it depends on the weather conditions. If we see a lot of wind, it could be one of the most difficult courses we’ll play on all year. It’s a links style course and there are not a lot of trees, but lots of water though. We’re ready to go and I know the guys are carrying a great deal of confidence with them, as they should be.”
The same five Hogs that represented Arkansas in Tampa, Fla., will be playing again in McKinney, Texas. Seniors Nick Beach; juniors Andrew Dahl, Seth Murphy, Adam Wing; and freshman Paul Bradshaw will be teeing off this weekend.
Dahl and Murphy were the team’s high finishers at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate when they both tied for fifth with scores of 140. Both shot career-best rounds of 68 and 69, respectively.
Beach also shot a career-best round of 71 when he came in 19th. Bradshaw will gear up for his second-career collegiate golf tournament after he finished 24th last weekend, while Wing looks to improve after turning in a score of 150.
The Razorbacks will conclude their fall schedule next week in Baton Rouge, La., on October 27-29, at the Country Club of Louisiana Invitational.
