Arkansas Knocks Out Auburn 8-5; Razorbacks Bat

HOOVER, ALA. – The Arkansas Razorbacks got three-hit performances from Michael Conner, Andrew Wishy and Cody Clark and a solid relief performance from Scott Roehl in eliminated the Auburn Tigers from the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a 8-5 victory Thursday afternoon.
Arkansas improved to 31-25 overall and will now play the loser of the LSU vs. South Carolina game at 6 p.m. Friday in an elimination game. Friday’s game will be televised by Fox Sports Net Southwest. Auburn dropped to 34-24 with the loss.
Roehl pitched the final four and two-thirds innings allowing just one hit and striking out three in recording the Hogs’ third win in four tries over the Tigers. Roehl upped his record to 4-0 with the win. Roehl relieved starter Gary Hogan, Jr., who pitched four and one-third innings allowing five runs, three earned, on 10 hits.
