Arkansas Lands In Fox Sports Top 25 Poll

Fox Sports Top 25 Poll | 2017-18 Season Tickets

Coming off the program’s seventh-most wins in program history and second NCAA Tournament appearance in the last three years, the Arkansas men’s basketball has landed at No. 22 in the updated Fox Sports Top 25 poll following the NBA Draft deadline.

What USA TODAY Sports’ Nelson Chenault is saying…
“Things were already trending upwards for Razorbacks hoops (a third place finish in the SEC regular season, a trip to the conference tourney title game, a near upset of eventual national champion North Carolina in the second round of the tournament) and they were made even better when second- and third-leading scorers Daryl Macon and Jaylen Barford both withdrew their names from the NBA Draft a few weeks ago. Add them in with a loaded recruiting class and the Razorbacks should get back to the second round of the NCAA Tournament — and possibly beyond.”

Arkansas will be one of the most experienced teams in the country next season, returning six seniors, including three of its top five scorers in Daryl Macon, Jaylen Barford and Anton Beard. The Razorbacks also welcome the top three high school players in the state of Arkansas, as Daniel Gafford, Darious Hall and Khalil Garland make up a top 20 recruiting class according to ESPN.

The 2017-18 schedule is starting to take shape, as Arkansas will host Minnesota, Colorado State and Oklahoma State in Bud Walton Arena, while playing three premier opponents at the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland, Oregon, during the week of Thanksgiving.
