Arkansas Moves Up Two Spots In Florida

Final Results

PALM CITY, Fla. – The No. 23 Arkansas men’s golf team moved up two spots on the final day of the Valspar Collegiate, firing a 1-under 282 to finish T-10th overall at Floridian National Golf Club.

The Razorbacks posted rounds of 303-291-282 – 876 (+24) to jump inside the top 10 in a field that featured 10 teams ranked inside the top 50 in the country, including four of the top 15 programs in the nation.

Arkansas was deadlocked with No. 30 Florida for 10th place and finished two shots behind No. 49 Houston and three strokes short of No. 33 South Carolina. No. 10 Wake Forest captured the one-shot victory over No. 27 Georgia Tech.

Freshman William Buhl led the way for Arkansas, finishing T-29th overall after his final round 1-over 72 that featured three birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey. Fellow freshman Mason Overstreet competed as an individual and carded a final round 4-over 75 to post a T-35th finish at 8-over for the tournament.

Freshman Luis Garza had Arkansas’ best round of the event on Tuesday, signing for a 3-under 68 that included three birdies on each side. He finished T-40th overall at 9-over. Alvaro Ortiz finished T-46th after his even-par 71 in the final round.

Charles Kim and Dylan Naidoo finished one stroke apart as Kim was 14-over and Naidoo was 15-over following a 1-over 72 on Tuesday.

The Razorbacks return to action on April 1-2 at the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas. The two-day event will mark the final regular season event of the year.
