Arkansas’ No. 1 Player Stays Home Again

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas men’s basketball head coach Mike Anderson announced on the first day of the early signing period that 6-9 power forward Ethan Henderson from Little Rock, Arkansas, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Razorbacks for the 2018-19 season.

Henderson is ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Arkansas by ESPN, marking the second consecutive year the Razorbacks have landed the top player in the state. He is a consensus four-star player by 247Sports.com, Scout.com, ESPN and Future150.com and is ranked as high as No. 82 in the class by Future150.com.

Playing at Parkview High School in Little Rock under head coach Al Flanigan, Henderson helped lead his team to the 5A state championship last year alongside current Razorback Khalil Garland.

During the Adidas Summer Championships in Las Vegas, Henderson averaged 14 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot 67.4 percent from the floor for the Arkansas Hawks.

What Coach Anderson is Saying
“Ethan is someone that committed us early and he really wanted to be a Razorback,” Anderson said. “We’ve seen him grow tremendously over the last several years. He rebounds the ball above the rim, has great shot-blocking ability, plays with great energy and has a good touch around the basket. His skill level will continue to get better and better. We always want to keep the best talent in our state and Ethan is one of the better players in the entire country. He comes from a great family and we look forward to him joining our program.”
