Arkansas Tied for Sixth After First Round of G

TAMPA, Fla. – The Arkansas golf team found them selves tied with Vanderbilt for sixth with a score of 286 and two under par at the end of the first round of play at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate in Tampa, Fla.
Before the second round was suspended due to lightening the Hogs were standing at eight under par with three holes remaining.
“We’re playing really well right now,” Arkansas assistant coach John Sadie said. “The field is very strong and the SEC has some very talented teams this year.”
Junior Seth Murphy was the highest finishing Razorback with a first round score of 69 at three under par to put him tied for fourth place. Senior Nick Beach and junior Andrew Dahl were tied for 22nd with a score of 72 and even par.
In his first golf tournament as a Razorback, freshman Paul Bradshaw stood alone in 37th place at one over par and a score of 73, while junior Adam Wing rounded out the Hogs in a tie for 54th place and a score of 75.
The second round of play will resume Tuesday morning, with the third round following immediately afterwards.
