Arkansas to Complete Season at the Maxwell Gol

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After an impressive sixth-place finish at the Southeastern Conference Championship in St. Simons Island, Ga., on April 21, Arkansas will play in their final tournament of the season in Ardmore, Okla., at the Maxwell Golf Tournament on May 10-12.
“We want to end the season on a good note at this tournament and look to improve on what we did at conference,” Arkansas head coach Mike Ketcham said. “We have made huge strides this year and want to continue on a progressive ladder of success. All five guys competing this weekend will return next season. The Maxwell is especially important for Beau (Galyean), because he’ll be returning to play on his home course in front of friends and family.”
The Razorbacks are sending five golfers to compete. Junior and Ardmore, Okla., native Beau Galyean, sophomores Adam Wing, Andrew Dahl, Chad Faucett and freshman Josh Farrell will represent Arkansas at the 10th annual tournament.
At the SEC Championships the Razorbacks were led by Dahl, who shot seven over par and placed 11th with a score of 217. Wing tied for 25th with a total score of 221, while Faucett tied for 27th with a total score of 222. Galyean tied for 33rd with a score of 224 after shooting rounds of 70, 75 and 79.
The Maxwell will feature an 11 team field, including Colorado, Houston, North Texas, Oklahoma, sixth-ranked Oklahoma State, SMU, fifth-ranked Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Tulsa. Play will begin on Saturday, May 11 with 36 holes and will conclude on Sunday, May 12, with the final 18 holes.
