FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Southeastern Conference released the 2018 men’s basketball schedule on Thursday afternoon, featuring a Saturday-heavy home slate for Arkansas, as the Razorbacks looks to make the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years.

Stacked Saturday Home Slate
For the first time in five seasons, Arkansas will play five Saturday home games in conference play, giving Razorback fans an even greater chance to create one of the best home court advantages in the country. Arkansas is 20-5 in Saturday SEC homes games under Anderson, including a 4-0 mark last season. To go along with a handful of Saturday home games, the Razorbacks will also welcome Oklahoma State to town in the middle of conference play on Saturday, Jan. 27, for the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

SEC Opener In Fayetteville
For just the second time in the last six seasons, Arkansas will play its conference opener at home when it welcomes Tennessee to town on Saturday, Dec. 30. League play opens in December for the second straight year and just the second time since Arkansas joined the SEC prior to the 1991-92 season. The Razorbacks are 1-1 in the Anderson era when they open league play in Bud Walton Arena.

Heavyweights Coming to Bud Walton Arena
With Arkansas as one of five SEC teams to make the NCAA Tournament last year, three of the other four schools will make their way to Fayetteville this season, including Final Four participant South Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Kentucky is fresh off an Elite 8 appearance and comes to town on Tuesday, Feb. 20 having lost three of its last four games in Bud Walton Arena. Vanderbilt makes its way to Fayetteville for the fourth straight year on Saturday, Feb. 10, under second-year head coach Bryce Drew.

Daunting Road Task
Arkansas is coming off six SEC road wins from a year ago, tying for its most in the SEC era. The Razorbacks travel to Florida on Wednesday, Jan. 17, looking to take down the Gators on the road for the first time in 23 seasons. The Razorbacks are 8-3 in their last 11 SEC road contests, the best stretch since the end of the 1993-94 and the beginning of the 1994-95 seasons.
