Arkansas Welcomes Mizzou For Saturday Matchup

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s basketball team looks to continue its recent dominance over Missouri, welcoming the Tigers to town on Saturday afternoon for an SEC showdown in Bud Walton Arena.

Since leaving Missouri to come back to Fayetteville, Coach Anderson is 5-3 against his former team, including four straight wins against the Tigers.

• Arkansas is one of five high-major teams in the country to score 70-plus points in 16 games this season. The Razorbacks last scored 70-plus in each of their first 16 games in 1994-95.

A victory over the Tigers would make Arkansas one of two programs (Kentucky) in the country with 90 wins and fewer than 15 losses at home over the last six seasons. The Razorbacks are currently 89-14 in BWA during the Mike Anderson era.

Arkansas dropped nine spots in the NCAA RPI after Tuesday’s loss and checks in at No. 36. The Razorbacks have a 4-3 record against the top 100 RPI and have seven wins against top 150 RPI teams. The SEC has 10 teams in the top 100.

Arkansas is the only program in the country with two players in the top 30 in the nation in free throw percentage as Daryl Macon is 24th at .910 and Dusty Hannahs is 30th at .906.

Macon and Hannahs have both made 25 consecutive free throws this year and hold two of the top three spots in the SEC for free throw percentage.

Arkansas has recorded runs of at least 10-0 on 14 different occasions this year, including a season-high 21-0 run against Austin Peay on Dec. 3. The Razorbacks have multiple 10-0 runs in five of 16 games this year.

The Razorbacks have held opponents scoreless for three-plus minutes 24 times this year, including at least once in 12 of 16 games this season. Arkansas held UT Arlington scoreless for a season-best 7:11 during the second half, going on a 15-0 run.
