Arkansas Wraps Up Fall Schedule
AUBURN, Ala.- The Arkansas women’s tennis team completed its final tournament of the fall season at the Marliss Gruver Memorial Tournament Sunday afternoon.
The day featured singles play only, with doubles play being completed Saturday. In Flight 1 back draw, Martina Zerulo earned a third-place finish with a 6-0, 6-3, 6-2 defeat of Daniela Ramirez of Georgia State.
Thea Rice earned a second-place finish in Flight 3, being defeated 7-5, 7-5 by Ulyana Shirokova of Miami (Fla.).
Lauren Alter placed fourth in the back draw, falling 6-4, 6-3 to No. 1 seed Lucia Marzal Martinez of Miami (Fla.). Shwetha Prabakar also earned a back draw fourth-place finish, falling 6-1, 6-1 to Annabella Bowen of Auburn in Flight 4.
The Razorbacks will return to the court in the spring in their first season of dual play under head coach Courtney Steinbock.
