Noting the RazorbacksArkansas (31-14, 14-9 SEC) went 2-2 on the week against two of the nation’s best teams with a midweek victory over then No. 9 Oklahoma, 8-7 in 10 innings, before taking the first of three games with No. 4 LSU, 11-4, 0-5, 3-4 … The Razorbacks are now 10-5 against ranked teams this season and 5-4 against teams ranked among the top 10 in the nation … Sunday afternoon’s game with LSU set an Arkansas record for tickets sold in a season as the Razorbacks ended the day with 238,194 tickets sold on the year breaking last year’s mark of 236,522; Arkansas still has four home games remaining … In the national polls last week the Razorbacks remained steady, even improving in some; the Hogs ranked as high as No. 7 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and as low as No. 12 in both Baseball America and the Collegiate Baseball Writers … The Razorbacks’ extra inning win against Oklahoma on Tuesday night was their sixth extra inning game of the season; the Razorbacks are 6-0 when a game goes more than nine innings and all six games Arkansas has won in 10 innings … Sophomore Brett Eibner was the catalyst to Arkansas’ victory against Oklahoma as he hit two home runs and won the game with a walk-off walk … Eibner tied the game with one out in the bottom of the ninth when he belted his second home run of the game into the Arkansas bullpen in left field, then won the contest in the 10th by working a 12-pitch walk with the bases loaded … Freshman Zack Cox continues to swing a hot bat for the Razorbacks, batting over .500 a week ago and following it up with a .400 week … Cox is currently in the midst of a career best nine game hitting streak where he has raised his batting average 59 points to .295 on the year, during the streak he is hitting .455 with 15 hits, 11 runs, four doubles, three home runs, nine RBI, a .526 on-base percentage and .848 slugging percentage … Junior Dallas Keuchel continues to be a force on the mound for the Razorbacks as he won his seventh game of the season on Friday night against LSU … Keuchel tossed 8.1 innings and allowed three earned runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts … Keuchel is now 6-1 in SEC games and ranks second in the league in wins … Sophomore Andy Wilkins belted a pair of home runs this week to give him 15 on the year, the most since Danny Hamblin hit 22 during the 2007 season … Wilkins is two home runs away from cracking Arkansas’ all-time top 10 for a season and ranks ninth in the SEC …The Razorbacks have no midweek games this week because of finals and travel to Alabama this weekend for another pivotal SEC matchup.

Freshman of the Week NomineeZack Cox * True Freshman * INF/RHPLouisville, Ky. /Pleasure Ridge Park High School* For the second straight week Cox batted .400 or better and is in the midst of a career best nine-game hitting streak.* Batted .400 in four games this week with six hits in 15 at bats (three extra-base hits)* Hit two home runs, scored five runs and drove in five more to pace the Razorbacks to a pair of wins against top 10 teams.* His home run against Oklahoma tied the game at four in the fourth inning and his home run against LSU on Sunday afternoon got Arkansas on the scoreboard after falling behind 4-0.* During his nine-game hitting streak he has raised his batting average 59 points to a season best .295 and has 15 hits, 11 runs, four doubles, three home runs, nine RBI, a .522 on-base percentage, .848 slugging percentage and one game-winning hit.* Leads Arkansas’ freshmen in average, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI, total bases, slugging and walks.
