Arkansas Golfer Andrew Landry Opens Play at NCAA Central Regional

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. Arkansas sophomore Andrew Landry begins play at the NCAA Central Regional on Thursday on the Rich Harvest Farms layout as an individual qualifier.

Landry is one of six individuals selected to compete at the NCAA Central Regional after the Razorbacks did not qualify as a team. He enters the event with a 72.1 scoring average and a national ranking of No. 83.

Landry has eight top 10 finishes this season and six top fives. His top finish came at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic in early April. Landry low score of the season came at the John A. Burn Intercollegiate where he posted an 8-under-par 208 and finished tied for fourth place. He is coming off of a tie for fourth place at the SEC Championships.

Landry will tee off on the 10th hole at 1:23 p.m. in Thursday’s first round. The tournament consists of three 18-hole rounds. Landry will be aiming to qualify for the NCAA Championships that will be held from May 30 to June 2 on the Gold Course at the Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va.
