FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team has four student-athletes on College Football Performance Awards offense watch lists, it was announced Monday.
The Razorbacks are the only team in the country with at least one representative on each of the four CFPA offense watch lists. Tyler Wilson is one of 33 quarterbacks around the country on the Quarterback Trophy Watch List, and Knile Davis is featured as one of 33 running backs on the Running Back Trophy Watch List. Cobi Hamilton is among the list of 37 receivers across the nation on the Wide Receiver Trophy Watch List, and Chris Gragg is included as one of 42 on the Tight End Trophy Watch List.
The goal of the College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. Former Arkansas wide receiver/punt returner Joe Adams was the winner of the 2011 CFPA Punt Returner Trophy, and former UA quarterback Ryan Mallett was the 2009 CFPA National Performer of the Year.
