Arkansas hits the road for #6 LSU Thursday

FAYETTEVILLE — Coming off a close battle on Senior Day with Kentucky on Sunday, the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks hit the road for the final week of the 2007-08 regular season.

Arkansas (17-10) travels to Baton Rouge for the first of a two-game Southeastern Conference road stand. The sixth-ranked LSU Tigers (24-3) are undefeated in the SEC this year at 12-0, but had their 14-game overall winning streak, snapped on Monday night.

Tipoff at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center is 7 p.m. on Thursday night. The game will be live on the Lady Razorback Radio Network, with audio through LADYBACKS.COM. It will also be carried live by Cox Sports Television, and air on cable systems in Arkansas and Louisiana where available.

The Lady’Backs were turned away in the closing seconds for the second time in the past three games with Kentucky last Sunday. Senior Brittney Vaughn had her first double-double of the year in the UK game, and is Arkansas’ leading scorer in SEC games at just over 13 ppg. Junior Ayana Brereton has moved into the overall scoring lead for Arkansas without senior post player Lauren Ervin.

The Tigers are led by Sylvia Fowles, and celebrate Senior Night for the eight senior players of the 2007-08 team before tipoff.

Arkansas continues on the road at Auburn to close out the regular season on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
