Arkansas Launches www.5DarrenMcFadden.com

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With the 2007 football season right around the corner the University of Arkansas, in partnership with XOS Technologies, unveiled its website for unanimous All-American running back and Heisman Trophy Candidate Darren McFadden on Monday.

The Web site, http//:www.5DarrenMcFadden.com, gives viewers an inside look at the Razorbacks’ do-everything junior from Little Rock. The site includes videos, photo galleries, a complete biography, updated statistics, quotes, recent headlines, an updated records book, his honors and awards and an introduction from McFadden himself.

“The Web site is a great tool for people to learn more about Darren McFadden on and off the field,” Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt said. “Everyone knows what an outstanding football player he is, but we also wanted people to get to know him as a person. The site is a fun way for fans to follow Darren and the Razorbacks throughout the season.”

McFadden enters the season as one of the leading candidates for almost every offensive award, including the Heisman Trophy, the Maxwell Award, the Doak Walker Award and the Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award. The versatile McFadden is a unanimous pre-season All-America selection and a threat whether he is running, passing, receiving or returning kicks.

McFadden rushed for a school-record 1,647 yards last season with 19 total touchdowns, including three passing scores, a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and one-receiving score.

He joins Herschel Walker as one of two Southeastern Conference running backs to rush for at least 1,000 yards in both their freshman and sophomore seasons. McFadden’s 1,647 yards last season was the fifth-best rushing mark in SEC history, while his 110.4 yards per game over his career also ranks fifth in SEC annals.
