Arkansas-LSU Football Game Moved to Friday Nov. 23 for CBS Sports

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the 12th-consecutive season, Arkansas and LSU will meet in the “Battle of the Golden Boot” on the Friday (Nov. 23) following Thanksgiving in a game televised by CBS Sports.

The Tigers will host the Hogs in the regular season finale for both squads at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. The game is slated to kickoff at 1:30 p.m. CT. In five of the past six seasons, one of the two schools has gone on to represent the western division in the Southeastern Conference Football Championship Game.

The Golden Boot, a nearly 200-pound 24-karat gold statue in the shape of the states of Arkansas and Louisiana, was introduced to the series in 1996. For the past 11 seasons, the winner of the Arkansas-LSU game has taken home the traveling trophy.

The Arkansas-LSU matchup is the first game on the Razorbacks’ 2007 schedule that has been officially slated for television. No further television arrangements involving the Razorbacks have been made at this time. Networks may wait until 12 days prior to a game to select that contest for telecast.
