Arkansas prepares for game against Auburn

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team practiced on Wednesday as they prepared to travel to Auburn, Ala. for their road matchup against Auburn.

Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Paul Haynes spoke to the media after practice and discussed the game plan for this week.

"We have to prepare for the run," Coach Haynes said. "But we also know that they will challenge us deep throwing the ball. So we need to prepare for both. When you are facing a dual threat quarterback, you need to keep him contained."

Coach Haynes also commented on the secondary.

"Our younger cornerbacks had a very good week of practice," Coach Haynes said. "They showed toughness in the game last week. We’ll shorten the packages that they are in, and we know that they can play fast."

Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 11 a.m., and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
