FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas football team practiced Tuesday in its preparations for Saturday’s game at No. 3 Alabama.
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrick McGee met with the media following the afternoon workout in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, commenting on the team’s readiness for the weekend’s game.
“We’re really up to the challenge, and we’re looking forward to the competition,” Coach McGee said. “You’ve got two teams where there’s a lot at stake. This is what it’s all about.”
In previewing the Arkansas-Alabama matchup on offense and defense, Coach McGee gave mention to the high level of competition expected by both teams.
“They compete at a really high level,” Coach McGee said. “And I think our team does too. I think we’re prepared for a battle, no doubt.”
Saturday’s game is set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium and will be nationally televised on CBS.
