Arkansas still No. 11

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas’ gymnastics team recorded a season-high team score for the second week in a row last week, but the Razorbacks are still No. 11 in the nation in this week’s GymInfo rankings.

Arkansas is coming off its first victory ever over Georgia and its first win over a team in the top five in two years with Friday’s 195.775-195.40 win over the No. 4 Gym Dogs in Barnhill Arena on Friday.

The Razorbacks (3-2) have won three straight, all in Southeastern Conference action with the first two coming on the road at then-No. 27 Kentucky and then-No. 22 Auburn.

Arkansas has wins over two teams in the top 25 this year and 23 over the last three seasons.

In the event rankings, Arkansas is No. 11 on vault, No. 19 on bars, tied for No. 18 on beam and No. 6 on floor.Individually, junior All-American Jaime Pisani has won the all-around in four consecutive meets and is tied for No. 13. Freshman Katherine Grable, who has two all-around titles, is tied for No. 42.

Pisani is also No. 6 on floor, tied for No. 26 on vault and tied for No. 48 on bars while Grable is tied for No. 21 on floor.In the South Central Region rankings, Arkansas is No. 3 overall, No. 3 on vault, bars and beam, and No. 2 on floor.In the all-around, Pisani is No. 2, Grable No. 9 and sophomore Jordan Salsberg No. 14

On vault, Pisani is tied for No. 3, Grable is No. 17, senior All-American Michelle Stout No. 18, sophomore Kelci Lewis is tied for No. 20 and sophomore Amanda Siebert is tied for No. 23.

Pisani is No. 5 and freshman Shelby Salmon is No. 16 on bars.

On beam, Pisani is tied for No. 12, freshman Scarlett Williams is No. 22 and Grable is No. 24.

On floor, Pisani is No. 1, Grable No. 5, freshman Bailee Zumwalde No. 16 and Salsberg tied for No. 24.

Arkansas is on the road this week, facing No. 19 LSU in Baton Rouge, La., on Friday at 7 p.m.

The meet is being televised by Comcast Sports Southeast. CSS is not available in Northwest Arkansas, but is available to subscribers in Central Arkansas on Channel 23. The tape-delay broadcast airs Feb. 15 at 8 p.m.
