Arkansas Volleyball Changes Match Times

FAYETTEVILLE — Television and a special promotion changed the start time of a pair of Southeastern Conference road volleyball matches. "The reason behind both changes are really win-win for all of the teams involved," said Arkansas head coach Chris Poole. "The Alabama match airs as part of the SEC-TV package and should be a great match for television. We’ve always had a good rivalry with Bama and I think fans will enjoy seeing that one on television. "The Florida match change should provide an amazing crowd for both teams," Poole continued. "Gainesville is always a great crowd and combining this match with the start of basketball might draw new fans to our sport." The Lady Razorbacks travel to SEC Western Division rival Alabama on Oct. 6 in a match that was slated for a 7:00 p.m., start. That start time moved to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the FSN (FOX Sports Net) broadcast of the match. In addition, Arkansas’ match at Florida on Oct. 13 has been moved from a 6:00 p.m., start to 7:30 p.m., as the Gators combine the match with the first basketball practice of the season. The Lady’Backs officially open the 2007 schedule at the Oklahoma Invitational Aug. 25-26, followed by the Arkansas Invitational Aug. 31-Sept. 2.
