Around the Horn - Jan. 13

Hard to believe, but the 2011 baseball season gets started five weeks from tomorrow. With the season getting closer and closer, national organizations have started to release their preseason polls. The Arkansas baseball team has found itself just outside the top 25 in a pair of rankings that have already been released. The Razorbacks were 28th in the College Baseball Lineup preseason poll and came in at No. 32 in the Collegiate Baseball top 40 preseason poll.
As expected, the Southeastern Conference has been well represented in the preseason rankings. The SEC placed six teams in the College Baseball Lineup top 30 poll, including two in the top five. Florida was the No. 1 team in the CBL poll, while Vanderbilt was ranked fourth. In the Collegiate Baseball poll, six teams from the conference were also ranked. Florida (No. 2) and Vanderbilt (No. 5) were also in the top five in that poll.
