At the Turn

PALO ALTO, Calif. — The No. 35 University of Arkansas women’s golf team has just made the turn in the final round of the 2010 NCAA West Regional Championship in Palo Alto, Calif., Saturday.

The Razorbacks have fluctuated up and down the leader board moving up as high as seventh in the field of 24 and made the turn in 10th place.

Arkansas is working toward one of the top eight team finishes to secure a spot in the NCAA Championship in two weeks.

Senior Kristin Ingram made the turn at plus-one. She opened play with a birdie on the first hole and bogeyed the next two.

Senior Tiffany Phelps was four-over through nine while junior Kelli Shean was plus-five at the turn. Freshman Victoria Vela paced the team at plus-one and senior Alex Schulte rounded out the first nine scoring at five-over.
