Bailey Stripling earn SEC honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Juniors Alain Bailey and Katie Stripling, members of the Arkansas track and field teams, earned weekly honors from the Southeastern Conference, it was announced on Tuesday.

Bailey won the long jump at the John McDonnell Invitational to earn SEC Field Athlete of the Week honors. His jump of 26-2.25 is an improved regional qualifier and personal best. Bailey leads the NCAA and the SEC in the event. His mark ranks No. 9 on Arkansas’ all-time list.

Stripling won the pole vault at the John McDonnell Invitational to earn SEC Field Athlete of the Week honors. She cleared 14-3.25 to top the field of 17 in her third-straight pole vault victory. Stripling matched her personal best and existing school record with her clearance of 14-3.25. Her jump is an improved regional qualifier and the NCAA and SEC leader.
