FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 2006 University of Arkansas Razorback baseball team will hold its annual "Meet the Razorbacks Day" at center court of the Northwest Arkansas Mall, Sunday, Jan. 29. The event will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. This is the eleventh year for the event, which will feature head coach Dave Van Horn and the Razorback baseball team. Fans are encouraged to come get autographs and have their pictures made with their favorite players. The Razorback Diamond Dolls, Mascots, and the R.B.I. Girls will also be in attendance. "We want to give the fans an opportunity to come out and meet the Razorback baseball team," Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Licensing Matt Shanklin said. "We are expecting a great season and our fans always play a big part in our success. We want to give them an opportunity to get to know their team." The Razorbacks start their season against George Mason on Friday, February 10, in Mobile, Alabama. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. The Hogs open their 2006 home schedule on Feb. 24 against Louisiana Tech.
