FAYETTEVILLE – On the strength of its third series sweep of the season and a 4-1 record last week, the Arkansas baseball team has moved into the top 15 of the country, ranking as high as No. 14 this week.
The Razorbacks are ranked in three of the four national polls with Baseball America being the only top 25 ranking to not include the Hogs. Arkansas’ highest ranking this week comes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll where the Razorbacks check in at No. 14. Arkansas is 15th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, while the Hogs are 18th in the Collegiate Baseball top 30 poll.
Arkansas is currently 10-1 on the season after its season-opening, 11-game homestand. The Razorbacks swept three-game series against Delaware State, Utah and Wisconsin-Milwaukee and split a two-game midweek series with McNeese State during the homestand.
The Razorbacks will look to take that home success on the road this weekend as they play their first four road contests of the season at San Diego State. Game times against the Aztecs are set for 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
