Baseball season tickets now on sale

FAYETTEVILLE – A limited number of season tickets for the upcoming 2011 Arkansas baseball season are now on sale. The 2011 season ticket package includes 33 games at beautiful Baum Stadium.

The Razorbacks, ranked 24th in a pair of preseason polls, open the season with 11-straight home games. The season-opening homestand includes series against Delaware State (Feb. 18-20), Utah (Feb. 25-27), McNeese State (March 1-2) and Wisconsin-Milwaukee (March 4-6).

Seven teams that advanced to the 2010 NCAA Tournament are on the schedule, including College World Series participant Oklahoma and 2010 NCAA Super Regional teams Florida and Vanderbilt. The Gators and Commodores are also ranked in the top five in most preseason polls.

Season tickets are $175 for adults and $125 for University of Arkansas staff, youth and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased by calling 1-800-982-HOGS (4647) or by visiting the online ticket center at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Season ticket holders also have first access to purchase postseason tickets in the event that Arkansas is selected to host an NCAA Regional or Super Regional.

Razorback fans have made Baum Stadium one of the best home field advantages in college baseball. Last season, Arkansas finished the year with a 29-9 record at home. Thanks in large part to the great fan support, the Hogs were selected to host a regional following the 2010 season, which the Razorbacks won after defeating Washington State 7-2 in the regional championship.

Arkansas’ game against Memphis on March 22 at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock is not included in the season ticket package. Fans interested in purchasing tickets for that game can visit the Arkansas Travelers’ website, www.travs.com, or by contacting the Dickey-Stephens Park box office in person or by phone at (501) 664-1555.
