Fayetteville, Ark. – Don’t miss out on your first opportunity to see the 2007 basketball team and Coach John Pelphrey in action. The team will open its first practice to the public this Friday October 12, 2007. The south gate at Bud Walton Arena will open at 7:30 p.m., with players and coaches signing autographs until 9 p.m. The team is scheduled to scrimmage for 20 minutes following a short practice, which begins at 9:30.

Admission is free and the 2007 basketball poster will be available at the door to the first 5,000 fans. The Hog Heaven store inside Bud Walton Arena will also be open during the scrimmage so fans can purchase their Razorback merchandise. Ten lucky fans will be chosen to compete in a free-throw competition before the scrimmage. The winner will receive two pre-game sideline passes to the Florida International football game on Saturday, October 27. The spirit squad will also be performing before the basketball scrimmage.

The 2007-2008 basketball team returns a talented squad that won more than 20 games last season. The roster includes six seniors from last year’s team, which appeared in the 2007 SEC Championship Game and the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The season is scheduled to begin when the Razorbacks take on West Florida in an exhibition game at 7:05 p.m. on November 2. Come support the Razorbacks and Coach Pelphrey as they begin the 2007 basketball season.
